Four or five times a week, we invite you to dine with us. Using the best local ingredients – vegetables from an organic farm in the next village, herbs and salads from her own kitchen garden and bread made at home or delivered by the local bakery – Gabrielle will cook you a 4-course dinner with wine. Based on French classics but also influenced by her culinary travels around the world, expect to be pleasantly surprised.
Having been a vegetarian for 20 years, but now a responsible meat-eater, the provenance of our meat and poultry is of the utmost importance to Gabrielle. All our meals are cooked with meat bought direct from farms and artisan butchers within the locality, and all of it is organic or free-range or, in the case of pork, with the Porc de Montagne label.
Auvergne is a green and fertile region, and the locals are justly proud of their reputation for producing some of the finest French produce. From bleu d’Auvergne cheese to Puy lentils, excellent charcuterie to the little know wines of the ancient vineyards of Saint-Pourçain – we aim to take you on a journey of gastronomic discovery. Vegetarians welcome!
